We're a small artisan smokehouse with big ideas
Let's start off by talking a little about our home state and why we've chosen to go the route we have with our restaurant. We love our state, but we also know it could use a little help. This is how we've chosen to do our part. Along with all the beauty this state possesses, we also have over a million people living below the poverty line*, just over half a million veterans, heavily used tourist areas like the Grand Canyon and our beautiful desert that need to be cleaned up, and (depending on the report) somewhere between 35th and 48th in the country for educational funding.
So we're partnering with some amazing organizations that help promote growth, prosperity, and aid within the state of Arizona. By donating our profits to local charities we help fund community programs that range from hunger relief to wilderness cleanup and everything in between.
All our donated funds must stay within the borders of our state. In order for us to sponsor a charity, we require guarantees that our funds won't be distributed outside our borders. We know we're not the only state that needs help, and we will be expanding out beyond Arizona in the future, but for now we want to start by giving back to our home state.
This is primarily what we do right now.
We could sit around and wait for our lottery numbers to be called so we can open our brick and mortar restaurant, but instead we've decided to be productive while we wait. We know, weird right?
We've outfitted our trailer with our smoker (affectionately named Big Geek) and all the fixin's we'll need to cook at your special event. The only caveat is that your event must be registered with the county as a special event. That part's easy though. Simply let the county know by going to the special events form online, email the coordinator at email@example.com, or call them at (602)506-6978 to let them know you'll be putting on a special event. It won't cost you a dime. Because of what we do, we suggest letting them know that you'll be hosting a fundraiser (since all our profits are donated), and we can work out the details about which charity you'd like to support and get in touch with their donation contact.
As for the catering side, whether you need us to drop off food for a private party, serve for a company lunch, or bring our smoker out and serve all day, we can currently handle anything between 25 and 500 people. We'll start with making it easy to send us a message to get things started. Then we'll help walk you through all the details and make sure there are no surprises on the day. We will do our best to take the food stress off the event list, just take a look at the menu above and...
